VERDEJO VINES

Grapes: Verdejo 100%.

Area: Castilla y León.

Wine type: Blanco.

Vineyards: Small bunches with small berries and thick skins, performance as a defence towards our continental climate and gives a structured palate balanced with herbal and fruity hints.

Verdejo bush vines planted on poor soils and at 800 meters above the see level.

Soils are mostly sandy located in Tierra de Pinares y La Moraña area.

Wine making:

65% of the must is pressed with the stems, before low temperature fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats. Ages in vat with the lees.

35% of the volume ferments on the barrel, after the wine has been pressed and debourbaged. Ages for three months with periodic batonnage

Tasting notes: Bright straw yellow colour, clean with greenish reflections. Very intense on the nose, fresh and elegant showing fennel, anisette and balsamic hints intermixed with white fruit.

On the palate offers good structure due to the battonage, is fresh and creamy, direct, with good acidity and extraordinary elegancy and long finish.

Ideal as an aperitive pairing perfectly with any dish of fish, rice, pasta, cheese or white meat.

Temperature to serve: 8 ºC.
